The transition towards Season 2 brings bigger changes to content update cycles as well as major infra updates, our team has been hard at work introducing new features over the past few weeks. Let’s dive into what we're working on for the next few updates.
Development Update
Our primary focus for upcoming Spellborne updates is shifting towards content. While some game elements will still receive major updates periodically, content update cycles will now be shortened to monthly releases.
Quests
As we move toward delivering more content, new quests will be the core feature of these updates. These quests will guide players to new locations that will be introduced one by one in each update.
Players will uncover the main motives of the three lead characters as they battle against powerful enemies such as the Order, Team Crux, and the mighty Guardians. Quests will also serve as an introduction to new features like breeding, fast travel, and more.
PvP Leagues
Our new PvP Leagues will bring competitive player vs. player matches with stat-based leaderboards, rare item rewards, and max-stat monsters. This update will also introduce new features like battle spectating, custom tournaments, and scheduled battles.
Players can participate in leagues starting at the Silver League, and climb to the Platinum League based on their ELO scores, which reward both victories and consistency in gameplay.
Attributes System
Up until now, Spellborne has largely relied on in-battle actions and their effects, but with an upcoming update, we're introducing an attributes system.
Players will be able to improve their overall attributes by completing major tasks. These attributes will affect various aspects of gameplay, including farming, fishing, crafting, and even battles.
This update will also bring a major overhaul to the farming system, making it more engaging and dynamic than ever before.
Achievements
Achievements are coming to Spellborne! This feature will allow players to take on more advanced challenges that push them beyond the reach of novice players.
Players will also be able to show off their favorite achievements on their game profile.
Art Update
Monster Art Upgrade
Our art team is gradually working on a full rework of monster sprites in the battle system. This upgrade will include more detailed art and better poses that reflect the personalities of specific monster breeds.
Community Update
PvP Guilds on the Rise
Since the friendly PvP feature went live last month, several guilds—such as UncrownedKings, Spell BR, Susu Society, and Soul Snatchers Guild—have held internal PvP tournaments with exciting prizes.
