May has been full of milestones, feature completions, integrations, and more. Let's take a look at what our team has accomplished over the past month:

Season 1 Early Access Recap

Here's a summary of Spellborne's first three weeks of closed access:

530,000 battles played since launch

11,000 quests completed (time for new content?)

24,000 monsters captured since early access (that's a lot of monsters!)

1300 players are actively playing in Season 1, with an average playtime of over 3 hours daily!

But that's not all…

Our players loved the game and shared their experiences, creating over 2000 tweets with gameplay related to Spellborne. With over 70,000 users eagerly waiting for access, there's much more excitement ahead.

Development Update

Battle System

Our art team is working on new monster designs and improving old, unused designs to meet new standards. These monsters will primarily be available in the routes introduced in Season 2.

The team has also enhanced the battle system, including support for nighttime, which now syncs with the game clock, as well as new battle locations.

Overworld

We're putting the finishing touches on smaller details required for Season 2 locations, including interiors and the autumn mode for Yorokobi Town, Sunshine Trail, and Heiwa Village.

User Interfaces

With Season 1 live for holders, our development team received a wealth of feedback over the past month, leading to multiple smaller updates.

We have redesigned user interfaces like the after-market menu and crafting menu from the ground up to improve user experience, alongside bug fixes for these features.

Spellborne community wiki rises to the occasion!

The Spellborne wiki, a community run wiki that covers everything related to Spellborne also went live with the Season 1 closed access.

Pirate Nation Collaboration

On May 7, 2024, we launched a collaboration with Pirate Nation, featuring our main character Atom voxelized into their game.

All apartment holders were able to claim this pirate character in their game.

Many more such collaborations are in works, snapshots of apartment holders are being taken from time to time for such airdrops and rewards.
