Celebrating 2 years of Mon Studios

From humble beginnings, Mon Studios has turned into an indie game studio that takes pride in bringing new forms of gameplay to our players.

On 23rd December 2021, we announced our new game studio which is now known as "Mon Studios".

During the past two years, we have undergone many changes, whether it's a new name for the studio or our flagship game title, which recently rebranded to "Spellborne." All the changes have been strategic and for the better, including graphical upgrades, new mechanics, and an overall improved experience.

Lets take a quick look at 2023 for our gaming studio:

Pandoro Run

From the beginning, we've focused on building social games (Spellborne) and hyper-casual games (Pandoro Run).

We firmly believe that these two genres can and will be disrupted by web3 games, especially in the Southeast Asian and Latin American markets.

The Pandoro Run Event was a small test for our team to check demand, and it performed well, with players playing the minigame more than 70K times in a single month without any incentives.

This minigame is currently being improved as part of our game revamp, with newer features such as custom skins, leaderboards, and a new UI.

Spellborne

Hunting Season

Hunting Season was a small alpha test for our team to collect feedback from web3 players for our flagship title, known at that time as "Defimons".

The game generated over 5,000 monthly active players with an average session length of 1.3 hours per user, totaling up to 10,000 hours in a single month. All this with negligible marketing spend and extremely positive player reviews.

Rebranding to Spellborne

With collective feedback from web2 and web3 players alike, our team worked with an external agency to rebrand our flagship title and shift our focus from just building a simple game to creating a strong IP that spreads across multiple social channels and games.

This rebrand not only introduced new characters and a new name but also brought much-needed improvements in game mechanics, the user interface, and more!

Social Media expansion

Starting with Reddit, our posts accounted for more than 1M views in a single week, with extremely positive feedback, and all users converting to the game wish list.

Continuing with this trend, our IP now has been expanded to Instagram, accounting for more than 400K accounts reached in a single month: View here

What's Next?

Our core values and principles remain the same; efficiency, onboarding, and accessibility.

We believe in a decentralized future, where our games are accessible to audiences in various parts of the world, regardless of the power of their devices or their ability to afford video games. We are committed to providing a good user experience and building games that are social and fun.

Currently, our team is focused on finishing up our current funding round and working on a few announcements related to our previously launched collections.

In the long term, our focus will shift towards expanding our IP into toys, social media, games, TCG, and more. 2024 is set to be the next step for our IP and will allow us to showcase the capabilities of our custom game framework, with multiple titles across different genres being released alongside our token launch.
